FAQs

Postage and delivery

  • We make everything to order, from scratch. Our shipping days are Mondays and Thursdays (for Tuesday and Friday deliveries respectively).

Orders received between 10:01am Thursday and 10:00am Monday will be dispatched Monday.

Orders received between 10:01am Monday and 10:00am Thursday will be dispatched on Thursday.

Please see our delivery information page to see more details and a zone map of how our courier charges for delivery.

  • We use DHL’s next day delivery service (48 hours for Northern Ireland and 48-72 hours for Scottish Highlands, Outer Hebrides and Jersey and Guernsey).

DHL will provide you with text and email alerts, and a one-hour delivery window on the day of delivery, so it is important you provide contact details when prompted at checkout.

  • No. Make sure to order before 10am Thursday and your order will be posted out on a next-day service for Friday.

  • At the moment, we are afraid not. We are still a teeny, tiny company run by just John and Paul. If we expand and grow, this is something we will look in to.

  • Ideally, yes, but through the link the courier sends you, you will be able to designate a neighbour or a safe space where the parcel can be left.

  • Of course we can! There will be a box at checkout for you to write a gift note. All we ask is that you don’t wax lyrical; keep it concise.

  • At the moment, no. Sorry.

  • Yes you can. But please be aware that some third-party payment systems, such as Apple Pay, can override the delivery address that you manually type. Please double check the order confirmation email you receive from us, to ensure the delivery address is correct.

brownies & blondies

  • Please see our ingredient list for more information.

  • Most of them are, but please do check the ingredients list on our allergens page, and the information on the product page.

  • All our brownies and blondies will last at room temperature (unless you live on the sun) for a week (yeah right!). For best results, keep them in the fridge for up to 10 days, or freeze them for up to six months – John often does a ‘Nigella’ and snaffles a brownie from the freezer in his exotic pyjamas (birthday suit).

  • That’s a very personal question, but if you must know our brownies are 6.5cm squares.

  • Yes. Please see the allergens page for more information.

  • As John’s mum says: life is not a café. While we aim, in the future, to possibly provide a pick ‘n’ mix service, at this time it just isn’t possible. Please don’t hate us.

  • We can always talk about that. Just email us on hello@ruffpuffbrownies.com and we can get the ball rolling. But one thing we won’t tolerate is bridezillas and groomzillas – be nice, or buy from Asda.

  • Nope. We may lace the odd holiday brownie or blondie with a slosh of sherry or a drop of Drambuie, but we’d never put booze in anything without you knowing.

  • No. Even if our brownies don’t contain nuts, they are made in a small kitchen and so there is a high possibility that every bake we make contains nut traces. If (and when!) we grow and expand, we are keen as mustard to get a separate allergen-compliant kitchen space. But please be patient with us – we’re only a baby company.

  • In a nutshell, perishable food items aren’t covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations, so after the item has been posted you cannot change your mind. For more information (and if you’re really short of something to do) see our terms of purchase .
